How to Import Fits into EVE

If you’ve tried importing some of my slightly older fits into EVE and are having trouble, then this may be because the fit isn’t recognised. Sometimes CCP changes the names of modules and suddenly the game won’t recognise the old ones any more. To get around this you can use a tool called Pyfa. Copy the entire fit from my website (including name) and paste it into that program. This will parse the module names properly and will update if necessary.

Pyfa also features some excellent simulations that aren’t represented in game such as EHP/s repped, and the ability to project fits or modules onto another one. If you’ve wondered why some of my fits have links then that’s how I do it! You can simulate NPC neuts by applying neuting to your ship to test PvE ships as well.

If you like the look of, or the idea of Pyfa then you can check out some of my fitting articles talking about it:

Here’s a handy image describing how to use the import and export options

Since you made it to this page, here’s one of my favourite fits around, the Stabber Bump Issue. Everyone expects a Magus to boosh you off, but not the Stabber Fleet Issue. It launches Nestors about 40km, has combat probes, 3 second align, fast warps, and can bump off structures. I love it! Use it to test your import if you want 🙂
